urgent – your opinion needed

April 27, 2009

our church’s web address is www.cooksriver.net.

trouble is no one knows where the cooks river is and what it has to do with church.

the mix :

our church building is named : St Peters

our suburb locality is : St Peters, Tempe, Sydenham

our LGA is : MArrickville

we are about : gospel and community.

so heres the suggestion

www.stpeterscommunity.org

or

www.stpetersgospelcommunity.com/ org

or

www.stpeterschurch.info

or

I reckon you’re better off having church in the name…but that’s assuming it’s not-yet-christians your mainly aiming at. Gospel/community descriptors w/o church would be a bit confusing I would of thought.

    Why not http://www.stpeterschurch.org.au ?

tough call! something short, and nonconfusing.

since you’ve got previous branding, perhaps you’ll need to roll with it.

that is, unless you can completely rename things?

so, short of renaming things, i like http://www.stpeterschurch.org

    cheers shane!

    the org is not available

    http://www.stpeterschurch.info ?

I’m with Jeff and Mark. Short. Simple. Easy to remember.

The “info” is a bit of a problem though. Unpredictable.

i’ve had some people recently register with .au on bluehost. so it is possible.

if you want .au – let me know and i can chase down how they did it.

.info is OK I reckon… it’ll be the new black soon!

do some googling too, I suspect there are just one or two stpeters churches already with a web presence…

at Glebe we had a HUGE (and no-one could help solve it) that the Glebe Property trust / adminstration yada yada clogged up all the google searches… unless we could generate MASSIVE hits, we’d never get on the front page of a google search no matter how clever or sexy our web address was.

    just worth thinking about
(in the end we went for glebechurch.org.au – at least bypased the property trust etc…)
